Mrs. Bina Westrich, M.A.

Bina Westrich is an extern clinician at The CBT/DBT Center and a fifth year student pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She has experience working with a range of clients, including adults, children, and adolescents, with varying mental health concerns. Bina’s previous treatment settings include Rockland Psychiatric Center, Center for Psychological Services at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and Center for Cognition and Communication.

 

Bina’s research interest is in the field of positive psychology, where she studies character strengths and their relationship with life outcomes. She carries this research into her clinical practice, where she helps clients tackle challenges while not losing sight of the strengths that they bring to the table. Bina approaches therapy from an evidence-based framework and collaborates with clients to establish treatment goals, develop and fine-tune skills to address them, and identify criteria for knowing when they have been met.
