Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Devora Perlow is a postdoctoral fellow at The CBT/DBT Center, where she provides individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She earned her doctorate and master's degree in school psychology from St. John’s University and holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Yeshiva University's Stern College for Women.
Dr. Perlow has extensive experience delivering multiple modalities of evidence-based treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and parent training. Throughout her clinical training, she has worked in diverse settings—including community mental health clinics, outpatient programs, intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), and elementary and middle schools—providing both therapy and consultation. Dr. Perlow completed her doctoral internship at the Bio Behavioral Institute, where she received specialized training in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related disorders using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns, and has participated in comprehensive training and supervision in evidence-based practices.
Dr. Perlow's research has focused on how collaboration between communities, families, and clinicians can best support individuals and their mental health. In addition to her clinical training, she is a trained Kallah teacher through the OU/RCA and is passionate about providing evidence-based care to the frum world. She is deeply committed to creating a collaborative therapeutic environment characterized by warmth, humor, and acceptance to help clients achieve their goals and enhance their overall well-being.
