Toby Zahler, SWI

Toby Zahler is a Social Work Intern at The CBT DBT Center and a second-year Master of Social Work (MSW) student at Daemen University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Social Work from Mount Saint Vincent University.

Toby is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges in a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment. She values building strong therapeutic relationships where clients feel understood, respected, and comfortable working toward their goals.
Toby is particularly interested in evidence-based approaches to mental health and is developing her clinical skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She has a collaborative approach, helping clients gain insight, build practical skills, and identify strategies that fit their individual needs.

Toby approaches each client with warmth, curiosity, and respect for their individual experiences. She is committed to creating a therapeutic environment where clients can feel supported as they navigate challenges, recognize their strengths, and work toward meaningful change.
