Zoe Bernstein, BS

Zoe Bernstein is a Clinical Psychology Extern at The CBT/DBT Center and a third-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology with Health Emphasis PhD program at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. She earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, where she studied Human Development and Nutritional Sciences as a PRYDE Scholar. Her research focuses on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), post-traumatic growth, and resilience.

Zoe has trained in a variety of medical, school, and community mental health settings. Her experience includes providing behavioral medicine services at the Parnes Clinic at Ferkauf, working with students at the Churchill School and Center, supporting bereaved parents and caregivers through Memorial Sloan Kettering as an interventionist, and serving as a psychology intern at the New York Bariatric Group. She also works as a Research Assistant with the Jewish Community Mental Health Initiative, where she studies the mental health impacts of antisemitism.

Zoe's approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that people are remarkably resilient. She values seeing each person as a whole, recognizing that every individual brings a unique set of experiences, strengths, and challenges. With compassion, curiosity, and patience, Zoe strives to create a supportive environment while using evidence-based treatments to help clients move toward meaningful and lasting change.
