Postdoctoral Fellow
​Dr. Rachel Berger is a postdoctoral fellow at The CBT/DBT Center, where she provides evidence-based individual and group therapy, as well as tailored neuropsychological, psychoeducational, and psychodiagnostics evaluations. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and completed an APA-accredited internship at ANDRUS, where she delivered multiple modalities of evidence-based treatment including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) informed approaches, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to young children, school age children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Berger is passionate about testing and assessment and is excited to offer this service at The CBT/DBT Center. She received extensive training in neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment through clinical rotations at the Weill Cornell Brain and Spine Center and SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She has worked with diverse and complex medical and neurodevelopmental populations, including individuals with epilepsy, congenital disorders, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, and traumatic brain injuries. Her expertise lies in evaluating complex psychological, neurodevelopmental, cognitive, and learning profiles, with a strong commitment to using assessment data to inform individualized, targeted treatment planning.
Dr. Berger’s additional clinical experiences span community mental health clinics, private practices, and specialized school environments, including the Quad Preparatory School for twice-exceptional learners. Her research background encompasses neuropsychology, health psychology, neuroscience, psychosis, and public health. She has also contributed to international collaborative research initiatives.
