Welcome to

This guide tells you everything you need to know about becoming a Summit Presenter.

“Together, we can create a world where therapy that works isn't newsworthy — it's boring.”

I’m Dr. Chaya Lieba Kobernick, founder of The CBT/DBT Center.

I’m in this field because I want to see people living better lives. Cliche — but aren’t we all?

And that’s why nothing hurts more than seeing people struggle in therapy when they don’t have to.

It’s not just the time and money wasted (and the headache and heartache and emotional rollercoaster and and and) It’s the fact that the longer therapy takes to “work,” the longer people are struggling with their mental health and losing faith in the possibility of mental health treatment.

And that is unacceptable.

We know how life-changing good therapy can be.

And by sharing your expertise, you’re helping thousands of listeners become more informed therapy clients, so they can seek higher standards of care — and feel better, faster.

Our goal is to raise awareness on a large scale — to shift the mindset in the frum (Orthodox Jewish) community about mental health. We want to help people recognize that mental health conditions are not just manageable, but treatable, often more quickly than they think. We want to decrease mental health stigma not so that people can stop suffering in silence, but rather so that people can stop suffering, period.

Together, we can create a world where therapy that works isn't newsworthy — it's boring.
No more endless sessions with no progress. No more wondering if it's working. No more settling for less when we could be healing.

Let’s do this!

Summit details

Everything you need to know.

What is The Therapy Should Work Summit? The Therapy Should Work Summit is a 5-day virtual event bringing the expert voices in mental health to the frum (Orthodox Jewish) community. Our goal is to equip people with expert mental health knowledge so they can confidently choose therapy that works — therapy that is: 1. Focused on reaching the client’s goals 2. Based in a modality that has been studied to be effective for the client’s issue 3. Based on the fact that most mental health challenges can be treated and overcome, not just managed.

How will the presentations be structured? Each presentation will be a pre-recorded interview. You will receive the questions in advance.

Who is the audience? The summit is designed for the global frum (Orthodox Jewish) community, including individuals in a supportive role (e.g., Rabbanim, parents, therapists, educators).

What topics will be covered? Presentations will be grouped into five days: 1. Anxiety and Depression, BRFBs and OCD 2. Serious mental illness / Personality disorders 3. Eating disorders & Addiction 4. Trauma (what it is and what it isn’t) 5. Child therapy and ADHD (including mechanchim/ educators and parenting panels)

When is the summit taking place? Summit Dates: Sunday, May 11 – Thursday, May 15

How much does it cost attendees to join? 1. Each presentation will be completely FREE for 24 hours to ensure accessibility for everyone. 2. There will also be a paid upgrade option (details below).

Your presentation

  • Your session will be a 30-40 minute interview (a natural, flowing conversation!) so everyone gets to hear your message in an engaging format and no significant prep is needed on your end.

  • Presentations will be pre-recorded, not live so that we can do it whenever is convenient for you (plus we can always edit things out if we have to).

  • You’ll receive an outline of my questions in advance, allowing you to prepare as thoroughly as you’d like (or not at all!).

  • Before we start recording, we’ll chat to make sure we’re all clear. We’ll only start recording when you’re 100% ready to go.

  • Each interview slot will last approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour (the actual interview will be 30-40 minutes of that time).

Ready?
