Undergraduate Intern

Chaya Deutsch is an undergraduate intern at The CBT/DBT Center. She is currently in her senior year at Touro University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology. After her upcoming graduation, she plans to continue her studies in clinical psychology, aiming for a PhD or PsyD.


As a member of The CBT/DBT Center team, Chaya is committed to the Center’s mission of providing accessible, high-quality mental health treatment and training within the frum community. Her empathy, intellectual curiosity, and passion for creating meaningful change make her a valuable asset to the team.


In addition to her role at The CBT/DBT Center, Chaya is an active Research Assistant at Touro University’s School of Health and Sciences Identity & Recovery Lab. Under the guidance of Dr. Yosef Sokol, her research explores the intersection of identity, recovery, and suicide symptoms, focusing particularly on how personal identity deficits influence the development and recovery from suicide-related symptoms.
